Allegations that a Jasper day care worker suspended a child over a dumpster with duct tape led to a two-week investigation by Child Protective Services (CPS) and the arrest of the worker and her husband.

The East-Texas couple, Julia and George Block, were arrested Friday morning and are under investigation for potentially harsh or cruel actions or unusual treatment. Original allegations against the Young Years Day care Center were made via the CPS hotline March 13.
