Discipline at a daycare center can be a very touchy subject. After all, many daycare centers are privately owned commercial businesses. A large percentage of parents are not too pleased with the implication that they may be paying a company to abuse their children. Just how prevalent is daycare abuse?

According to our lawsuit filed in the 44th District Court in Dallas, employees at the Woodbridge Day School located on Plano Road failed to notice when 2-year old Isabella Estep swallowed a small rock and collapsed inside the school on Oct. 31, 2008. Children started lifting at her eyelids, and five to 10 minutes passed before any school employees realized something was wrong. Isabella later died after being at a local hospital.

Is it just a clean record free of daycare neglect charges or is it something else?

In Michigan each day before the school bus comes to pick up the neighborhood's children, Lisa Snyder did a favor for three of her fellow moms, welcoming their children into her home for about an hour before they left for school.

Days after the start of the new school year, Snyder received a letter from the Michigan Department of Human Services warning her that if she continued, she'd be violating a law aimed at the operators of unlicensed day care centers.

A daycare driver is accused of running a red light and having no driver's license after a morning rollover accident that sent more than a dozen children to the hospital, Grand Prairie,Tx police said.

Karissa Acosta, of Arlington, was transporting 20 children in a 15-passenger van for Kids Clubhouse, a day care center in Grand Prairie, when the collision occurred near the Grand Prairie Municipal Airport. The 20-year-old driver will likely face additional charges, including allowing children to ride without seatbelts, police said.
