The Texas Department of State Health Services has passed an emergency rule and your kids may be on their way to a room full of unvaccinated children.
Schools can provisionally let students enroll even though they do not have their shots. That includes meningitis, tetanus/diphtheria and chickenpox vaccines. This rule is in effect until the end of September so your child has an entire month they might be exposed. Parents should ask their daycare for a status on how many children are not properly immunized. In the meantime, you may need to decide if the exposure is worth the risk.
