Following up on an earlier blog entry, it looks like the Ardmore abuse case will be handed over to the district attorney. Police captain Eric Hamblin has told the press that the case report was delivered to the district attorney’s office on Tuesday. The worker who has been accused of abusing the child was originally suspended, however, a spokesman for the Crystal Rock Cathedral’s Kiddie Kollege told press that the woman later resigned.
Apparently, another employee videotaped the woman shaking an infant. This is a serious offense, as permanent brain damage can be done to a toddler if it is shaken. We have said it before and we will say it again: day care abuse is a serious problem. As a parent, it is up to you to monitor behaviors and keep yourself informed about the possible signs of abuse.
