ODESSA, TX (11/03/2015) — Police continue to investigate the death of a 4-month-old baby, Jeremiah Garza, who lost his life at a Texas day care on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Odessa police, 4-month-old Jeremiah Garza died on Tuesday afternoon while at a home daycare business called Lorlee’s Childcare, located in the 2600 block of Madera Avenue in Odessa, Texas.
Officials stated that at around 3:20 p.m., officers were sent to the day care to find that Jeremiah Garza had already lost his life. According to Cpl. Steve LeSueur, the cause of death has not been determined.
“It’s very early in the investigation,” LeSueur explained. “Definitely a very tragic situation. It’s being investigated as an unattended death right now.”
Authorities have confirmed that the daycare has been shut down while police continue their investigation.
