Abuse comes in many different forms. One of those forms is neglect. Daycare neglect can have effects on children that are every bit as bad as outright physical or sexual abuse. Unfortunately, this type of neglect tends to happen in some fairly predictable situations.

Home Daycare

Some parents decide to save money by bringing their child to someone’s private home, which functions as an unlicensed daycare. There is a big difference between having your one child babysat by someone privately—even a teenager—and bringing a child to a daycare that has many children and no licensed workers, appropriate insurance or even facilities. Those situations can quickly turn very dangerous for the children and, sometimes, they can be deadly.

Home daycare services may end up not having enough people around to take care of the children properly, which means that some of them will inevitably be neglected to some degree. Sometimes, abuse will start up and no one will catch it or do anything to stop it.

Overcrowded Daycares

Make sure that the daycare facility you go to doesn’t have too many children. Some providers will try to get as many children as they can and, in the process, they end up placing them all at risk of being neglected. In crowded daycare facilities, children may end up being bullied by other children, engaging in unsafe play and taking other risks that may well cause them real harm. If your daycare provider does not seem to have any limits on how many children they’ll take, you may want to find another provider.

Unqualified Staff

It’s not at all out of line to ask specific information about the staff at a daycare regarding their credentials. The ones who have impressive credentials certainly won’t mind telling you about them, as they know it puts their clients at ease. Make sure that the people who work at the daycare where you take your child are qualified to offer care at a professional level. There are some daycares that try to get by with underqualified personnel and the results are seldom good.

Contacting an Attorney

A good daycare abuse law firm should be able to provide you with assistance if you want to file a lawsuit against a negligent facility. If your child was neglected and they came to harm because of that neglect, filing a lawsuit could win you compensation. You’ll need to speak with an attorney to find out for sure.

N.c.pre k i was lead teacher but i have left so my teacher assistant is in there alone with 18 kids.
School age is Tiffany and she is van driver for the kids after school.

I use to be the pre-k lead, after school lead and van driver but 2 new employee started coming and i see the children are taking the hit for them not being trained right or management just not caring. So i quit a couple of days ago bc i seen what was happening and i told my director Kim and nothing was done so i want nothing to do with that mess.

The new after school teacher her name is Tiffany they call her T. Tiffany is allowing the older children scream and put the younger ones in timeout. Another thing that Tiffany did was snatch a balloon away from a child and the ballon was tied on his wrist and she put a red mark on the child. Yes i told the director Kim and nothing was done. When Tiffany could not get the ballon off the child wrist she got scissors out and slide the scissor blade on his skin the child started to cry Tiffany put him in timeout. Tiffany also comes to work high, and it has been smelled on her and she was asked do you smoke she said you can smell it. The saftey of the kids are or will be in harms way she lets them sit on bookcases, on tables, take their shoes off run and slide into the bathroom door. Kim the director has been told about these issues bc 2 little girls wrote it down with name and date bc they were scared. Another older child had told me that Tiffany and some kids were doing butterflies and a child wanted help cutting so Tiffany cut it for her the child was upset bc it wasnt the way she told her the child ask for another piece of paper but Tiffany told the child no its ur fault you couldnt cut it so no more paper. So that child ended up in timeout. Tiffany had been at the other 2 Heavenly Havens and Tiffany stated that there was a 9 yr old girl that was being “bad” and got in Tiffany’s face and tiffany said she was going to “get out of pocket on her” so she walked out and quit.

Mrs kim the director allows for the teachers to be out of ratio. Mrs Barbara the pre k teacher assistant is always left alone with her 18 kids even on the play grown. Mrs Barbara has been dealing with being out of ratio for so long that she called the owner Mrs. Donna and told her about it nothing was done the other staff just covered it up and retaliated against Barbara. Mrs Barbara will tell yoi the truth she will not lie to you so if you ask about ratio shell be honest.
Kim doesnt say anyrhing to the twachers when they argue ans fuss around the kids.

Most of the other teachers and Staff will lie for Mrs Kim the director. Barbara the pre k TA will be honest.

Mrs Pat is lead teacher in 2 and 3 and shes always scream and pullin on the children. When mrs pat is outside she is on her cell phone and not watching the kids. I have a pic of that. Mrs pat has also tried to start problems with other teachers in front of all age groups of children.

Mrs marcella is the cook she has all the kids terrified of her bc she always screaming at them and treating them nasty.

Mrs brown is one of the floater and cleaner for the center she dont watch the children at all. When Brown is in the room everytime there is child getting hurt. Brown also talks mean and ugly to the kids. Mrs Brown also sleeps or takes naps when the children are resting and she suppose to be making sure everythings ok.
